July 2003, The Waiting!1st - 3rd July No building due to work commitments.
th - 6th July Working in Napier.
th July For the first time since this log began I don't have an airplane at home. The garage however is a mess so I'll tidy that up before the fuselage comes back home in a few weeks.
th July Packing
th - 16th July On holiday in Fiji
th July Post holiday catchup.
th - 20th July The great garage cleanup! I ended up throwing out eight large rubbish sacks of junk. Another landmark, we can now get two cars into the garage again.
st - 22nd July Sorted out the remaining aircraft parts into useable order. I do rather suspect that I'm going to end up with a pile of aircraft parts once the plane is ready to fly.
rd July Working in Napier
th -27th July At Pauanui
th July I dismantled the outrigger mechanisms in order to paint the metal plates. The outer plates have been sitting in primer for years so they just need a degrease before painting. I decided to paint the steel latch that runs through the middle of the outrigger mechanism as this is often rusty on the aircraft I have seen. To make life easier I used a spray can based rust inhibiting primer/top coat to paint the latches.
th -31st July No building
